Associate Accountant Accounts Receivable

As part of our Finance team, this role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and customer‑focused billing operations that keep our business moving. How you will make an impact:
• Manage daily customer invoicing based on purchase orders, shipping documentation, receivable reports, and contract terms
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve billing‑related queries and discrepancies
• Review customer contracts to confirm billing and payment terms are met in every invoice
• Ensure compliance with local government invoicing requirements in collaboration with customers, the Sales team, and local accounting firms
• Maintain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready Accounts Receivable records
• Support escalations, process documentation, and continuous improvements within the Accounts Receivable function
• Uphold SOX compliance standards across all assigned billing activities.
 

The must haves:
• 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable billing, issue resolution, and cash collection across the US, Canada, or EMEA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle R12
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
 

Nice to haves:
• Experience supporting cross‑functional teams in global organizations
• Background in documenting and improving billing processes
• Familiarity with complex billing structures
• Exposure to SOX‑controlled environments
• Experience collaborating with external accounting firms
• Ability to analyze and interpret customer payment behaviors
• Knowledge of shipment‑to‑invoice reconciliation practices.
