Job Description

Mashreq is implementing a unified Trade Finance platform across GCC countries and International Banking locations. To support this strategic expansion, we are creating a dedicated role to strengthen our Subject Matter Expertise in the new Oracle OBTF and OBDX platforms.


The selected candidate will serve as the TechnoFunctional Expert for these applications, contributing across the full technology stackfrom requirement analysis and infrastructure understanding to solution development, deployments, and system optimization. The role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Designers, Engineers, and other crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless delivery of Trade Finance capabilities.


Key Responsibilities: --


Functional & Technical Expertise

- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Banking Trade Finance (OBTF) with deep domain knowledge in Trade Finance.

- Interpret and analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into functional and system designs.

- Perform product deployments, assess impacts, and coordinate with vendors on issue/defect resolution.


Issue Management & Customer Support

- Partner with GTB Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technology teams to resolve customer issues and complaints.

- Lead and manage issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution efforts.

- Conduct system issue analysis, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and contribute to decisions on issue prioritization.


Testing & Quality Assurance

- Support all testing phases including SIT, regression, performance tuning, and integrations.

- Prepare and review testing documentation: strategy, scenarios, and test data.

- Ensure proper validations before deployments.


Change & Deployment Management

- Perform impact assessments for Change Requests on implemented products.

- Facilitate and support Production deployments.

- Ensure technology initiatives meet ISG approvals, architectural guidelines, hardware sizing requirements, and audit controls.


System Optimization & Architecture

- Monitor system performance and participate in functional and technical process optimizations.

- Optimize technology solutions based on business needs, existing systems, scalability, stability, and total cost of ownership.

- Recommend innovative approaches leveraging existing capabilities or system enhancements.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

- Bachelors degree in computer engineering/computer science or postgraduate degree in a related field.


Experience

- 18+ years of experience in Corporate Banking technology with strong exposure to Trade Finance systems.

- Proven Subject Matter Expertise and handson experience with OBTF and OBTFPM.

- Experience in designing and implementing products aligned to business requirements.

- Strong understanding of Banking and Trade Finance domain.

- Experience with largescale transformation programs, process optimization, and change management.


Technical Skills

- Ability to interpret solution documentation, identify risks, and recommend approaches.

- Ability to document detailed design specifications and integration designs.

- Experience designing distributed applications.

- Handson experience deploying and exposing APIs using API Connect.


Soft Skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.

- Strong written skills for preparing documentation, architecture notes, and design artifacts.
