Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Employee Health & Benefits - Chennai team at Marsh Risk India, a Marsh busines.This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


Assistant Vice President Employee Health & Benefits


We will count on you to:


  • Lead comprehensive market research, data benchmarking, and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering strategic, data-driven plans aligned with client objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding EB Practice, Placement, Underwriting, and Salesto design and implement integrated employee benefits solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present clear, insightful reports and recommendations to clients, fostering trusted advisor relationships and supporting business development through prospecting, proposal contributions, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Manage client engagements including RFP responses, plan renewals, and underwriting negotiations, optimizing coverage and pricing strategies.
  • Drive innovation by contributing to the development of new products, value propositions, and analytical tools.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, promoting a high-performance, collaborative work environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with strong data analysis and visualization capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market intelligence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at tailoring messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a consultative approach.
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills, capable of influencing decision-makers and driving consensus.


What you need to have:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in the insurance or employee benefits industry, with comprehensive knowledge of benefit plan designs, rating methodologies, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated domain expertise in employee benefits, health insurance, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a reputed business school, enhancing strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Proven track record of delivering client-focused solutions and contributing to business growth initiatives.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of underwriting principles across multiple lines of coverage.
