Job purpose
The AVP Human Resources will drive and govern end-to-end HR operations across geographies, ensuring strategic alignment with the organization's goals and compliance with regulatory frameworks based out of our Mumbai Location. This strategic role will oversee global HRMS governance, payroll operations, statutory and labor law compliance, and continuous process optimization.
Key responsibilities
India HR Operations & Governance
- Be the apex-level execution SPOC for end-to-end HR Operations across India (Minus Nashik).
- Be the SPOC coordinator for international geographies.
- Provide strategic oversight and hands-on direction across process modules: Core HR, Employee master, MIS, Onboarding, Leave & Attendance, Performance management system, Payroll & statutory compliances.
- Act as the enterprise-level HRMS systems SPOC and governance lead for rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
- Drive adoption, system optimization, and user enablement across regions.
- Manage an employee span control of over 5,000 staff across various levels and functions.
- Establish standardized HR operational frameworks, policies, and SOPs across regions with firm control on leave and attendance frameworks, shift policies etc.
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, service quality benchmarks, and compliance standards.
- Partner with payroll vendors, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure audit readiness.
- Partner closely with Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, IT, Finance, and external vendors & Act as an escalation point for complex HR operations, payroll, and system-related issues.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Minimum 15-22 years of HR experience with at least 5-6 years in a HR leadership role, managing large teams.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institution
- Strong knowledge of new labor code, labor laws, statutory compliances, employee relations, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in managing relationships with government bodies.
- Strong expertise in leave & attendance management and statutory compliance across geographies.
- Deep hands-on and leadership experience with HRMS (implementation, governance, optimization). Darwinbox will be a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and senior leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of industry HR trends.
