Job Description

1. SEO Strategy for General Insurance Portfolio

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy across Motor, Health, Travel, Home, Fire, Marine, Liability, and Commercial Lines.
  • Build search‑led pathways that support policy purchases, renewals, claims information access, and product comparison journeys.
  • Ensure visibility for key commercial segments—SME insurance, corporate solutions, and specialty lines.

2. On‑Page SEO & Content Optimization

  • Drive keyword research and mapping for high‑intent general insurance search terms (e.g., “motor insurance renewal”, “health insurance for family”, “marine transit cover”).
  • Collaborate with underwriting and content teams to create accurate, compliant, and SEO-friendly product pages & advisories.
  • Optimize claim‑related pages (cashless network, claim process, FAQs) to enhance organic discoverability.

3. Technical SEO Excellence

  • Oversee site health, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and indexation for a large-scale general insurance website.
  • Partner with Tech/IT to ensure bot-friendly architecture, fast quote journeys, mobile-first UI, and secure browsing.
  • Manage sitemaps, redirects, crawl budget, and CMS hygiene, especially during product launches or IRDAI-driven updates.

4. Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Track category-wise performance: Motor (OD/TP), Health, Travel, PA, Fire, Engineering, etc.
  • Provide insights on traffic trends, ranking shifts, lead volume, cost-saving through organic channels, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Build dashboards highlighting organic contribution to premium growth, especially retail and SME segments.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Digital Marketing, Product Owners, Distribution, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams to embed SEO into all digital journeys.
  • Partner with Actuarial/Underwriting teams to ensure terminology, coverages, and policy wordings are accurately represented online.

6. Regulatory Compliance (IRDAI Alignment)

  • Ensure all SEO content adheres to IRDAI guidelines, disclaimers, product filing details, and corporate governance standards.
  • Maintain accuracy of benefits, exclusions, endorsements, and policy features to avoid miscommunication.

7. Agency, Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead in-house SEO executives and external SEO agencies.
  • Review productivity, allocate priorities, and ensure adherence to SEO KPIs.
  • Drive team capability building in BFSI-specific SEO nuances.

8. Innovation & Digital Growth Leadership

  • Leverage AI-based SEO tools, SERP intelligence, and voice-search optimization for insurance buying behavior.
  • Champion search-first thinking across departments and influence digital product decisions.
