Job Description

Role Brief:

We are looking for an AVP Business Finance who will serve as a strategic business

partner to key functional teams, driving financial discipline and enabling data-driven

decision-making. The role requires strong financial acumen, commercial

understanding, and analytical skills to support revenue growth, margin improvement,

and cost optimization. This individual will work closely with business leads, delivering

insights and enabling execution of the company's financial and commercial goals.


Location: Mumbai


Experience:

68 years of experience in business finance or commercial finance roles, preferably in

fast-paced or high-growth organizations. Proven ability to influence business

outcomes through financial insights and collaboration.


Educational Background:

MBA in Finance from tier 1 institute preferred or equivalent professional qualification.


Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of business drivers, unit economics, and cost structures
  • Experience in pricing strategy, budget controls, and commercial analysis
  • Hands-on with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and strategic planning
  • Proficient in Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey insights to senior stakeholders


WHAT YOULL DO

  • Partner with business teams to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial plans
  • Track and analyze key business metrics such as school sign-ups, pricing, margins, and collections
  • Support pricing strategy development and monitor adherence to commercial frameworks
  • Drive budgetary control through variance analysis and cost optimization initiatives
  • Evaluate marketing spend effectiveness and guide ROI-focused decisions
  • Support execution of collections and recovery strategies to ensure financial hygiene
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that enable visibility into performance
  • Conduct in-depth business analyses including LTV/CAC, contribution margins, and pricing models
  • Provide decision support for new initiatives, partnerships, and product launches
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to improve data reliability, reporting accuracy, and scalability
