Role Overview

We are hiring an AVP Control Business Analyst to strengthen the risk, control, and governance framework of a leading global investment bank. The role focuses on assessing control effectiveness, identifying operational risks, and delivering high-quality management information (MI), data insights, and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and enhance internal controls to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks
• Perform Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) , issue management, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking
• Develop and deliver MI, dashboards, and data insights for senior management and governance forums
• Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements aligned with regulatory and internal frameworks
• Collaborate with Risk, Governance, Compliance, Audit, and Business teams across geographies
• Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and risk/control committees
• Drive automation and efficiency in reporting and control processes

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Risk, Controls, Governance, or Operational Risk within banking / financial services
• Strong understanding of control frameworks, operational risk, and governance processes
• Experience in MI & Reporting , dashboards, and senior stakeholder communication
• Hands-on or working knowledge of Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, automation or ETL tools
• Ability to analyze complex data and present insights clearly to senior leadership
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to BCBS 239 , data governance, or regulatory reporting
• Experience with automation, analytics, or data science tools (Python, Alteryx, Power Automate, etc.)
• Prior experience in investment banking or global financial institutions
