Responsibilities

Technical Architecture Design:

Design and develop the technical architecture for data governance solutions, including data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging

Ensure that data governance solutions align with the overall enterprise architecture and IT strategy.

Tool Selection and Implementation:

Evaluate and recommend data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Atlan).

Lead the implementation, configuration, and deployment of selected data governance tools.

Integration and Interoperability:

Ensure that data governance solutions are integrated with existing data management systems, data warehouses, and other IT infrastructure.

Work with IT teams to develop integration strategies and ensure interoperability of data governance tools.

Technical Standards and Best Practices:

Establish and enforce technical standards and best practices for data governance.

Ensure that technical solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data governance tools and systems.

Address and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Security and Compliance:

Implement technical controls to ensure data privacy and security.

Ensure that data governance solutions comply with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor the performance of data governance tools and infrastructure.

Optimize system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of data governance solutions.
