Role Overview

At Windsor House Early Years, the Assistant Teacher plays a vital supporting role in delivering a warm, engaging, and enriching learning experience for young children aged 3 to 5 years. Working closely under the guidance of the Head Teacher, the Assistant Teacher supports the execution of the curriculum, ensures a safe and nurturing environment, and helps build the foundational skills essential for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Child-Centered Teaching & Learning Support Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences across multiple domains.
2. Facilitate activities that nurture creativity, social-emotional development, and age-appropriate independence.
3. Support children during circle time, story sessions, thematic play, and structured activities.

Qualifications & Background

1. Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, or any equivalent pre-primary teacher training certification is required.
2. 13 years of classroom experience in a preschool or early years setting preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of child development principles and inclusive classroom practices.
4. Fluency in English is essential; strong spoken communication skills are a must.
5. Comfort with using simple tech tools for planning and communication is an advantage.
