Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Store Manager for a full-time in Ahmedabad. The Store Manager will oversee daily store operations, ensure high customer satisfaction, manage inventory, prevent losses, and lead a team to achieve sales and operational targets. This position involves interacting with customers and implementing effective store management strategies to maintain seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Material Management
Maintain stock of raw materials, components, tools, and consumables
Ensure availability of materials for uninterrupted production
Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels
Implement inventory control systems (FIFO, LIFO, etc.)
2. Store Operations
Oversee daily store activities including receiving, storing, and issuing materials
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and preservation of materials
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store
3. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain accurate records of stock (manual or ERP systems like SAP)
Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), issue slips, and stock reports
Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation
4. Coordination
Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams
Ensure timely receipt of materials from vendors
Communicate shortages or delays to relevant departments
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure safe handling of materials (especially heavy or hazardous items)
Follow company policies and industry safety standards
Prevent material damage, theft, or loss
Required Skills
Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP preferred)
English Communication Must
Understanding of engineering materials
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Basic accounting and documentation knowledge
Leadership and coordination abilities
Attention to detail and problem-solving
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
5 to 10 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse management, or inventory control within an engineering or manufacturing environment
