Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Education - Teaching and Training

• To teach and examine courses at BCA, B.Sc IT & M.sc IT through lectures, seminars, tutorials, course work and personal supervision.
• To teach Computer Science related subjects in BCA, B.Sc IT & M.sc IT Program.
• To plan and review own approach to teaching.
• To act as a coach and role model through excellent practice and mentoring.
• To provide pastoral support for students.
• To contribute to curriculum development.
• To take a leading role in, or contribute to, the development of teaching and teaching methods and assessment.
• To contribute to the enhancement of quality teaching within the field.
• To work with national bodies on curriculum development and quality assurance
• Develop and teach Graduation level courses in computer science.
• Engage in innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
• Publish high quality research in leading Journals.
• Participate in committee at the departmental, college and/or university levels as assigned;
• Actively engage in promoting the growth of the Department.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.

Minimum Qualification:

• M.C.A or M.Sc (IT) or M.Tech (Computer Science) from recognized university with First class
• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment;
• Experience in teaching Computer Science related subjects at under graduation or postgraduate levels;
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Very good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualification:

• Pursuing PH.D or NET (National Eligibility Test) or SLET (State Level Eligibility Test) must be cleared
• In addition, preference will be given to candidates with experience, strong research, and publication potential/record in Computer Science related subjects.
• Professional experience and professional certification related to Google, Data Science or Information Technology are a plus.

Experience:
