Position Overview

Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), School of Commerce and Management Studies, invites applications from dynamic and research-oriented candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence. The selected candidate will teach postgraduate (PG) programs, contribute to research output, guide student projects, and support departmental academic initiatives.

Note: PhD in a relevant discipline is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Deliver high-quality instruction in subjects related to Business Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data, and related areas.
• Design and update curriculum and course materials for PG programs (MBA, M.Com, and specialized analytics programs).
• Supervise student projects, internships, dissertations, and industry-aligned capstones.
• Incorporate practical, case-based, and technology-driven pedagogy.

Research & Publications

• Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals.
• Pursue funded research projects and collaborations.
• Participate in departmental research seminars, conferences, and academic development activities.

Industry & Institutional Engagement

• Build partnerships with industry for live projects, consulting assignments, and guest lectures.
• Support the universitys initiatives in analytics labs, AI-driven learning tools, and innovation programs.

Administrative & Academic Support

• Participate in academic committees, accreditation activities, and program development.
• Mentor students and contribute to overall department growth.

Required Qualifications

• PhD (Mandatory) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science, or a closely related field.
• Masters degree (MBA/M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA or equivalent) in a relevant domain with strong academic background.
• Demonstrated teaching or research experience in analytics/AI.
• Strong publication record or evidence of ongoing research potential.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Expertise in tools and languages such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, SAS, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, predictive analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to integrate industry cases, datasets, and simulations into teaching.
