Assistant Manager-NRI Operations

Role Purpose

Support end-to-end NRI account opening and modification by ensuring accurate KYC/KRA compliance, timely verification, and smooth coordination with clients, RMs, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end NRI account opening and modification cases, including document scrutiny, verification, and follow-ups.
• Well-versed with KRA/KYC requirements for NRI clients, including NRE/NRO, FATCA, CRS, and overseas attestation norms.
• Perform hands-on verification of documents and ensure compliance as per regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Coordinate closely with clients, Relationship Managers, branches, and central teams to resolve NRI account opening queries.
• Maintain and update MIS on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Track pending cases, highlight bottlenecks, and drive closures within defined TATs.
• Handle exceptions and complex cases with proper escalation and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to audit, compliance, and regulatory standards at all times.
• Support process improvements by flagging recurring issues and suggesting practical solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of NRI KYC/KRA processes.
• Hands-on experience in account opening and verification.
• Clear and confident communication skillswritten and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle pressure situations calmly.
• High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
• Comfortable working with data, MIS, and internal systems.

Preferred Profile

• Prior experience in NRI onboarding, operations, or compliance support.
• Exposure to banking, broking, or wealth management environments is a plus.
