🔹 Role of Quality Control in EPC
In EPC projects—such as power plants, oil & gas, infrastructure, and industrial facilities—Quality Control ensures that engineering, materials, and construction meet required standards, codes, and client specifications. QC is a critical part of the wider Quality Management System (QMS) and directly impacts safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
🔹 Key Objectives of QC in EPC

Compliance – Ensure all work complies with codes, standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, API, IEC, etc.), and client specifications.

Defect Prevention – Detect and correct issues at the earliest stage (design, procurement, fabrication, or construction).

Risk Mitigation – Reduce failures, accidents, and rework during operations.

Documentation & Traceability – Maintain proper inspection reports, test certificates, and quality records.

1. Engineering Phase
