Job Description Assistant Manager Sales (IMS-QEHS Consulting Products)

1 Position Overview

The Assistant Manager Sales (IMS-QEHS Consulting Products) is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and selling consulting services related to:

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

The role focuses on B2B consultative selling, sector-based targeting, lead generation, proposal development, and revenue conversion across industries such as Pharma, Food, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Healthcare, and Commercial Buildings.

2 Reporting Structure

  • Reports To: Head Sales / Business Development Director
  • Works Closely With:
  • IMS-QEHS Practice Head
  • Technical Consultants
  • Marketing Team
  • Finance & Contracts Team

3 Key Responsibilities

A. Revenue Generation

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Generate leads for IMS implementation and audit support projects.
  • Convert leads into confirmed consulting assignments.
  • Build sector-specific sales pipelines.
  • Drive multi-site and subscription compliance contracts.

B. Business Development

  • Identify new market opportunities (Pharma, FMCG, Infra, etc.).
  • Develop strong relationships with:
  • Plant Heads
  • QA/QC Managers
  • EHS Managers
  • Directors / CXOs
  • Conduct client meetings and present service offerings.
  • Participate in industry networking events and seminars.

C. Proposal & Tender Management

  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with consultants for scoping and costing.
  • Handle tender submissions and negotiations.
  • Finalize contracts and payment milestones.

D. Strategic Sales Planning

  • Develop sector-wise sales strategy.
  • Track competitors and pricing models.
  • Support cross-selling of:
  • ESG services
  • Safety audits
  • Energy efficiency
  • Food safety consulting
  • Maintain CRM records and pipeline tracking dashboards.

E. Account Management

  • Ensure client satisfaction post-project closure.
  • Generate repeat business and annual maintenance contracts.
  • Monitor collections and payment follow-ups.
