Assistant Manager Module Process

About the Role

The Assistant Manager Module Process will monitor, control, and improve the solar module manufacturing process to ensure high production efficiency, product quality, and process optimization across all stages such as stringing, layup, lamination, framing, and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Process Management
• Monitor and control the solar module manufacturing processes including cell stringing, tabbing, layup, lamination, trimming, framing, junction box fixing, and testing.
• Ensure process parameters are maintained as per SOP and technical standards.
• Identify process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Production Support
• Support production team in achieving daily production targets.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize downtime and rejection.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for machine breakdown resolution.

• Process Improvement
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and reduce defects.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / Kaizen practices.
• Work on cycle time reduction and productivity improvement.

• Quality Assurance
• Ensure product quality meets IEC / BIS / customer standards.
• Monitor process yield, defect trends, and rejection rates.
• Work closely with Quality and R&D teams to resolve product quality issues.

• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, control plans, and work instructions.
• Prepare production and process performance reports.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto analysis.

• Team Coordination
• Guide and supervise engineers, supervisors, and operators.
• Conduct training programs for operators on process standards and safety.
• Ensure safe work practices on the production floor.

• New Product / Technology Implementation
• Support new module designs and process validation.
• Participate in trial runs and product qualification activities.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Manufacturing Engineering

Required Skills

• 810 years experience in solar module manufacturing or electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in module production processes.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of solar module manufacturing process flow
• Understanding of IEC standards for solar modules
• Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tools
• Process troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, and process control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Team management and leadership
• Good communication and reporting skills
