About the Role

This role will support the legal function by assisting in contract management, compliance monitoring, and providing legal guidance to business teams and ensure adherence to laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and supporting corporate governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts including vendor agreements, lease deeds, franchise agreements, service level agreements, NDAs, etc.
• Support the development and implementation of legal strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct preliminary legal research and provide inputs on the implications of business decisions.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations under supervision.
• Monitor statutory compliances across multiple locations and coordinate with government bodies as required.
• Assist in handling matters related to employment laws, disciplinary actions, employee disputes, and industrial relations.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and support litigation management.
• Contribute to corporate governance initiatives and assist in drafting board resolutions.
• Identify potential areas of legal risk and escalate to senior counsel with suggested mitigation strategies.
• Participate in internal audits and support corrective action plans related to legal issues.
