Job Description

Responsibilities

You will be primarily working as a consultant for the centralized advanced analytics team of a banking or financial firm. You would be required to partner with cross-functional business teams, data and technology teams and require strong project management diligence. The job entails periodic production support for mission-critical risk systems generating RWAs, Loss forecasts, capital estimation and provisions for the bank. You will also be responsible for coordinating with auditors and model development or validation teams to ensure the Enterprise Modeling Governance standards are followed; Your activities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Provide thought leadership, develop, and execute comprehensive data analytics strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
Design, develop, and work on linking various data sourcing systems to develop an analytics platform for decision making and model development process
Understand the current state of model implementation processes and work on building an integrated solution in on-prem/cloud environments
Provide expertise in building automated solutions for model monitoring and implementation processes
Design, develop and implement automation solutions for modeling teams
Perform periodic model runs for generating scenario-based model forecasts for CCAR, CECL programs. Generate data control reports for data pull, transformation, preparation for model execution.
Deploy models into production environments and integrate them with existing systems and processes. Work closely with application development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless execution of models in real-time environments.
Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing efforts with internal and external interfaces, particularly in more complex end-to-end testing situations. Assist in coordinating the implementation of changes to improve performance and post implementation support.
Prepare data for testing application functionalities in large, complex systems.
Record and analyze results of testing sessions, prepare summary reports and status updates, present results to all involved parties.
Propose recommendations to improve implementation/execution or production systems and capabilities based on identified risk and control gaps.
Help develop thorough technical documents for distribution and presentation to senior management, model developers, auditors, and regulators.
Bringing in industry best practices and consultative inputs to help deliver continuous value to client engagements in advanced risk analytics.
Lead, train, and mentor junior members in the team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong Python Development Skills: Python should be the primary language, with proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Expertise: An understanding of OOP principles and design patterns. Be comfortable designing and implementing OOP concepts.
Modeling with Strong Programming Emphasis: Experience in developing and implementing statistical and machine learning models, with a focus on translating those models into production-ready code.
Strong client management and communication/presentation skills written & verbal.
Detailed knowledge of data analysis / analytics / mining techniques

Preferred Qualifications

MLOps and Data Engineering Experience: Hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning models. This includes data acquisition, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
Cloud platform: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and related services
