Position Summary:

The Manager Fraud Investigation plays a critical role in overseeing the fraud risk management and investigation framework of the organization. The role is responsible for monitoring, reviewing and enhancing the fraud investigation process to ensure effectiveness, accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, monitor and mentor the team in recording, investigation, tracking and reporting of fraud cases in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee end to end fraud investigation processes, ensuring timely closure and appropriate escalation of cases.
• Draft, review and present the management reports and dashboards on frauds trends, root causes and control gaps.
• Validate and review fraud investigation reports prior to submission to senior management and regulators.
• Develop and implement innovative and data driven approaches for fraud detection, analysis and review.
• Conduct regular reviews of fraud related controls, processes and systems to identify weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with the internal stakeholders as required.
• Track implementation of corrective and preventive action plans arising from fraud investigations and audits.

Desired Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Fraud Investigation or Internal Audit with large Microfinance/NBFC/Bank.
• Strong Knowledge of RBI guidelines, banking regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements related to frauds.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and cross functional stakeholders.
• Strong supervisory people management skills, including planning, prioritizing, delegating and monitoring work assignments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
