Position: Assistant Manager
About the Job:
This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the team responsible for Policy Administration/Finance/Claims operations. The individual will ensure consistent delivery and continuous improvement of service levels. Key responsibilities include managing daily task allocation, resource scheduling, and reporting relevant operational metrics. The role also involves performance management activities aimed at enhancing both team and individual effectiveness. The ideal candidate should be adaptable to a dynamic and evolving business environment, aligning operational execution with the organizations strategic goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Process Management:
Work allocation, monitoring progress of daily work, ensuring completion of assigned tasks within the specified SLAs, preparing daily MIS and ensuring resource scheduling. Should be ensure all process issues are addressed timely with the onshore teams and other support functions for resolution. Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to within defined standards and deadlines. Review the QA scores and do analysis to improve the quality. Drive a culture of innovation in the team by which he/she could contribute towards organizations goal on driving efficiencies.
Performance Management:
Evaluate daily statistics including productivity, availability, log in times to ensure productivity is maximized and take appropriate steps if targets and standards are repeatedly missed and / or ignored. Conduct 1-2-1 discussions to ensure timely feedback on performance is provided to team members and right development plans are discussed. Promptly act on underperformance, follows the capability procedures and completes timely reviews. On job coaching and development of Associates to ensure process targets are achieved consistently.
People Management:
Support the Manager in the hiring of right candidates. Continually communicate with and motivate team to achieve optimum performances. Ensure effective communication takes place within your team to establish and maintain high team morale. Deal with any staffing issues as they arise and seek help when required. Attend / hold regular team meetings, ensuring the team is aware of all relevant information and have the opportunity to contribute to them. Keeps the enthusiasm and team spirit high through participating in various team building activities and encourages team members to be part of engagement initiatives. Develop Personal Development and training plans for direct reports.
Organizational Governance:
- Follow and Implement Arch HR policies
- Organize/ participate in various divisional level and organization level activities and initiatives such as projects, Innovation drives, Employee Engagement and CSR Activities
- Ensuring on-time Weekly/Monthly reporting as required
- Conduct ISMS activities as per the guidelines
- Adhere to the Information Security policies day in and day out
- Report any ISMS events / incidents as per the reporting procedures
- Shall be aware of all ISMS principles and guidelines.

Qualification/ Experience:
Graduate / post graduate in any discipline with :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance operations/policy administration/Finance/Claims operations
- Minimum of 2 years in a people manager role.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to work in night or afternoon shifts
