Job Title - Assistant Manager-Finance
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller/ Finance Manager with deep expertise in property
management accounting and asset management, ideally gained at a top-tier firm such as JLL or CBRE.
The ideal candidate will not only manage day-to-day financial operations but also lead the
transformation of our accounting processes, bringing institutional-level best practices and systems to
strengthen our financial infrastructure and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Financial Operations :- Oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for the property portfolio.
2. Implement Best Practices:- Design and implement accounting processes modeled on enterprise-level property management systems used at JLL/CBRE, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
3. Asset Management Integration :- Develop and manage financial models, performance dashboards, and asset-level reporting aligned with investment strategies and property performance goals.
4. System & Process Improvement :- Introduce automation, technology tools, and workflow efficiencies to optimize reporting accuracy and timeliness.
5. Leadership & Training:- Mentor internal accounting staff and establish standardized operating procedures to ensure consistency, accountability, and efficiency.
6. Strategic Financial Partner:-Collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide actionable financial insights, capital planning, and ROI analysis across property-level and portfolio-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a
property management or real estate investment environment.
Preferred Background: Experience at JLL, CBRE, or a comparable institutional real estate firm is
strongly preferred.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of property-level accounting (CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, lease
accounting, etc.)
Proficiency in Yardi Voyager 8 real estate management software (required)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven ability to implement scalable financial processes and internal controls
