Job Description
Role: Assistant Manager Finance
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted financial liaison and advisor to departmental leaders, translating complex financial data into actionable business insights to influence key commercial decisions.
- Financial Planning s Analysis (FPA): Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles. Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and risk assessments.
- Performance Reporting s Analysis: Drive performance reporting, analyzing key SaaS metrics (ARR, Churn, LTV/CAC, Gross Margin etc.,) and providing commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
- Cost Optimization s Efficiency: Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement cost optimization and efficiency improvement strategies across various functions.
- Operational Finance Support: Collaborate with the core finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate month-end close processes, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives within finance operations, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Audit and Statutory Compliance: Liaise with internal and statutory auditors to finalize audited financials in a timely manner and collaborate to complete the monthly, quarterly and annual statutory compliances like GST, TDS and PF/ESI etc.,
Skills and experience.
- Experience: 3-4+years of progressive experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 3 years in a dedicated Finance Business Partnering capacity, preferably within a SaaS or subscription-based business model.
- Education s Certifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; a qualified accountant certification(e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CA) is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills with outstanding business acumen. Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and drawinsightful conclusions.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory. Experience with financial planning software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Oracle Cloud ERP) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills (especially in explaining financial concepts to non-financial audiences), and the confidence to challenge and influence leadership.
