Inviting applications for Assistant Manager- F&A Compliance and Controls Audit

Responsibilities:

• Lead and help support managing Compliance team in Kolkata alongside Global Compliance Manager
• Lead and direct controls and risk-based testing across multiple disciplines for both hotel and corporate
• Analyze the results of controls and risk testing to identify process or controls gaps, perform root-cause analysis, enhanced controls, and useful recommendations
• Perform and lead ad-hoc testing as required
• Support development and implementation of best practices, frameworks, and benchmarks for new Compliance program
• Responsible for meaningful and effective reporting of testing results and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
• Engage with Compliance leadership to recommend solutions for common control failures and refine controls / risk testing
• Ensure adherence to process compliance, using tools such as CMP and FMEA.
• Ensure service delivery meets customer expectations and defined SLAs.
• Manage routine controls and risk testing activities.
• Direct and support team members in achieving departmental objectives.
• Utilize digital tools and assets to enhance financial and accounting processes and controls
• Focus on team member development, grooming juniors on inter process linkages, error log and resolutions, SOP maintenance, taking ownership on deliverables
• Delegation of activities to junior team members with the objective of developing leaders for the future, learn by hands on experience
• Development of process expertise to support resolution of process exceptions

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• CA / MBA (Finance) with 10 years of combined hands-on accounting experience and internal audit / external audit / compliance
• Hands on experience in activities like Bank Recs, Balance Sheet Recs, Inter Company Recharges, Accruals/ Prepaids, Amortization, Loyalty Points Accounting, Travel Agency Commissions, Advance Purchase Accounting.
• Ability to lead controls testing across multiple disciplines and taking responsibility to identify trends, exposure to risk, potential fraud, and non-compliance to GAAP
• Recent exposure or experience applying digital solutions to streamline / improve Compliance reporting
• Experience in Hospitality Accounting preferred
• Hands-on experience in identifying and leveraging tools and technologies (Blackline, PeopleSoft) desired
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment collaboratively
• Influencing skills, creative thinking/innovative mind-set
• Problem Solving skill set with details on proven case studies
