Assistant Manager - Design

Job Summary / Overview

• The Assistant Manager Design (Valve Division) will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating industrial valves (Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly, Trunnion, Control Valves, etc.) as per API, ASME, ASTM, and international standards. The role involves leading design activities, preparing engineering drawings, coordinating NPD projects, handling customer specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry norms and manufacturing feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design activities related to Trunnion mounted ball valves, with an focus on automation, Order engineering, ECNs, and product improvements.
• Collaborate with Cross Functional teams to drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Perform design calculations including flow coefficient (Cv), pressure drop, torque calculation, wall thickness, and stress analysis.
• Support order engineering by reviewing customer specifications and preparing technical documents.
• Work closely with production, quality, procurement, and testing teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly.
• Coordinate with suppliers for development of valve components and special materials.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Full time / Part time B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in valve industry and 5 years of trunnion mounted valve experience is must.
