Assistant Manager Corporate Finance

Job Title: Assistant Corporate Finance Manager

Location: Head Office (Lower Parel)

Reporting to: Director - Finance & Accounts

CTC - 7 to 8 LPA

Key Responsibilities :-

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Preparation and finalization of financial statements
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements
• Coordination with statutory and internal auditors

2. MIS & Financial Analysis

• Preparation of monthly MIS and management reports
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Variance analysis and performance tracking
• Financial modelling and data-driven insights for management

3. Compliance & Taxation

• Ensuring compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, and GST regulations
• Review of tax computations and returns
• Liaising with consultants and regulatory authorities
• Monitoring statutory deadlines

4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Strengthening financial controls and documentation
• Identifying process gaps and recommending improvements
• Supporting implementation of finance systems or ERP

5. Retail & Inventory Finance

• Inventory reconciliation
• Gross margin and store-level profitability analysis
• Monitoring shrinkage, discounts, and pricing impact
• Working capital and vendor payable management
• Monitoring inventory ageing and slow-moving inventory

6. Review of legal agreement and commercial arrangements / contracts

Qualification & Skills :-

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and taxation
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools
• Knowledge of Tally ERO or similar) preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• High level of ownership and attention to detail
