Job Summary
Python Developer with 1-4 years of experience who has strong expertise in business reporting, SQL, and automation of Excel reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the MIS reporting domain and be capable of maintaining existing automated reporting solutions. The role involves developing, enhancing, and automating reports to improve efficiency and save man-hours.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate Excel-based business reports, improving accuracy and reducing manual effort.
- Design and implement business reports and dashboards using Python.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automated reports and workflows to ensure smooth operation.
- Ability to write SQL queries for data retrieval (e.g., SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY).
- Understanding of relational database concepts and table relationships.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in automated reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data and reporting needs.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in reporting.
- Document solutions and processes for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and required skills
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in Python development along with Graduation Engineering degree.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to other automation tools or scripting languages.
- Strong experience in automating Excel reports using Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, OpenPyXL, XlsxWriter, or similar.
- Familiarity with SQL and database, exposure to database tools like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or SQLite.
- Proficient in data visualization libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or others is a plus.
- Experience in creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated business reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams.
