Job Description – Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant Manager

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the AR process including

billing, collections, reconciliations, credit control, and customer account management. The role will ensure

timely collections, accurate reporting, and contribute to working capital efficiency while partnering with sales

and operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivable Management

• Manage end-to-end AR process: Collections, customer ledger maintenance.

• Ensure accurate and timely posting of customer receipts in ERP.

• Monitor overdue accounts and follow up for payments as per agreed credit terms.

2. Reconciliation & Control

• Perform customer account reconciliations on a periodic basis.

• Reconcile AR sub-ledger with General Ledger on a monthly basis.

• Resolve mismatches between customer statements, invoices, and company records.

• Support bank reconciliations for customer receipts and clearing accounts.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of AR, reconciliation, and credit control processes.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail in reconciliations.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to handle escalations and multi-stakeholder coordination.

Qualification & Experience

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred.

• 4–7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, reconciliation, or credit control.

• Exposure to Pharma, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Services industries is an advantage.
