Assistant Manager - SEO

What will the individual be responsible for?

1. Understanding the search landscape for bus booking vertical and assess the opportunity for redBus in organic search channel

2. Identifying the key drivers of a robust SEO strategy and create a plan to scale organic search traffic and conversions 

3. Working with the internal technical, design & product teams as well as external agency partners to execute the SEO plan

4. Conducting frequent SEO audits, report channel performance and identify key areas of opportunity/improvement

5. Leading multiple projects with different stakeholders in all the areas influencing SEO

6. Building and managing a team of seo specialists, content writers etc.,

7. Know the latest SEO trends, including Core Web Vitals, E-E-A-T, and algorithm updates and see how it can be applied to improve organic channel performance

Experience: 2 to 4 years

Qualification : BE/MBA

What is the individual expected to have?

1. Thorough understanding of all the factors & best practices of SEO and different tools

2. Proven experience of delivering business results through organic search channel

3. Ability to lead the planning & execution of multiple SEO projects effectively by coordinating with multiple engineering teams

4. Ability to manage an internal team of seo specialists and external agency partners

5. Self-driven & eagerness to learn, stay on top of the constantly changing landscape of SEO

6. Analytical & problem solving mindset that is aligned with the business objectives

7. Proficiency in tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screamingfrog, GA4 and Google search Console

8. Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) is a plus

9. Strong understanding of technical SEO aspects such as website architecture, structured data, crawling and indexing, and JavaScript SEO
