Job Description

Assistant Manager - Digital Marketing (Paid Marketing)

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Own end-to-end management of paid user acquisition channels , from campaign and ad creation to daily optimizations, budget adjustments 

  • Strategize, execute, and optimise SEM campaigns across multiple platforms (Google Ads, Bing, etc.) to achieve key performance objectives.

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research and analysis, utilising industry-leading tools and best practices.

  • Monitor, analyse, and interpret campaign performance metrics, implementing strategic optimisation techniques for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, content, and product) to align SEM and App acquisition strategies with broader marketing objectives.

  • Manage budgets, forecast expenditures, and deliver insightful reporting on campaign performance to stakeholders.

  • Stay on top of industry trends and regulations in the paid social space and ensure we adapt to trends proactively.


Required Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

  • 4 - 5 years of hands-on campaign and budget management experience with high-growth consumer tech startups, / ecommerce companies, / digital marketing agencies 

  • Strong Excel skills: Ability to analyse data, create reports, and manage large datasets efficiently to support campaign decisions.

  • Proficient in Google Ads Editor: Comfortable managing multiple accounts, making bulk changes, and optimising campaigns for better performance.

  • Campaign management expertise: Skilled in executing bulk updates and optimisations while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Adaptable and growth-oriented mindset: Calm under pressure, eager to learn new tools and processes, and ready to unlearn previous ways of working when required.

  • Proven experience in running performance campaigns (CPC, CPA, CPT, etc.) and display campaigns across Google, Facebook, YouTube, Bing, affiliates, DSPs, TikTok and any other leading ad networks

  • Experience with tools including Google Adwords, Keyword Tools, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads/Business Manager, YouTube Ads, DV360, Branch/AppsFlyer and others

  • Prior experience in app marketing will be highly preferred. 

  • Experience running programmatic, reach, frequency/awareness based campaigns across digital channels would be a plus.

  • A solid understanding of digital marketing. Proficiency in performance marketing channels and user acquisition KPIs

  • Previous experience working with ecommerce companies / marketing agencies

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful paid search marketing and app acquisitions. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and derive meaningful insights using Google Analytics and MMP for mobile app acquisitions
