Assistant Guidance Counselor

About the Institution

Bangalore International School is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Assistant University Guidance Counsellor to support our Guidance Counselling team in preparing and placing students in universities worldwide. This role works closely with the Guidance Counsellor and plays a key part in student planning, university coordination, and parent engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support university planning, applications, and testing (PSAT, SAT, psychometric assessments)
• Provide individual and group counselling on academic, personal, and career-related matters
• Assist with career guidance, student goal-setting, and parent counselling
• Coordinate university visits, career events, and counselling calendars
• Maintain confidentiality and prepare academic transcripts (UK, US, India)

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Counselling or a related field
• 23 years of experience in counselling or career guidance
