Reports to: Senior General Manager - Legal

Team Size: 2 members

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled legal professional to join our team as an Assistant General Manager - Legal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring brand protection, managing legal documentation, and overseeing secretarial and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal obligations

- Collaborate with external lawyers on IPR, consumer, and other legal matters

- Provide legal guidance on statutory and regulatory compliance

- Conduct research and prepare legal opinions

- Offer expert advice and recommendations to the management team

- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners

- Develop and deliver training programs for business teams and stakeholders

- Submit periodic reports to the Head Legal

Requirements:

- LL.B. and CS qualifications

- 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar role

- Retail background preferred

- Experience in drafting and reviewing agreements, including lease, leave & license, and vendor/customer contracts

- Knowledge of legal metrology and data privacy laws is a plus
