Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Udyog Vihar - Gurgaon for an Assistant Fashion Designer. The Assistant Fashion Designer will support day-to-day tasks such as working on designs with pattern masters, embroidery, assisting in the development of fashion design concepts, conducting fittings, and working with various textiles. The role involves collaborating with the design team to bring creative ideas to life and helping ensure design rules are maintained. Exact Scope of Work

Consumer alignment:

Understand the consumers of ACQUIRE - why specific silhouettes work, what kind of details, functionalities, materials, details etc. This also means keeping abreast with popular culture, trends and also delving into fashion history

Design:

Take direction from brand guidelines and leadership. Produce and implement technical patterns and designs from references, sketches and research given. Work with clients to customize and develop styles with an approved list of customizations. Coordinate with internal or external teams for these items and their features in social media. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design. Proficiency in working with Embroidery, Textiles and Fashion production. Very curious about experimentation, finishing techniques, keen for a good fit.

Production:

Coordinate on ground to fulfill sampling, collection development and production.

Other design: Support sourcing and associations with regional producers for accessories / items the brand will partner with [design support where required] in forms of product extension, events, and collaborations

Communication:

Coordinate with celebrity stylists, influencers, media and key opinion leaders forcustom designs, orders and placements from the founders Network.

Planning, organization, tracking

Skills to be used, GDrive software, Adobe suite, Microsoft suite

Organizational skills are vital to tracking delivery dates, schedules, and operational challenges.

Planning, documentation and foresight

Quality checking and awareness

Represent the brand in an ethical, kind and intelligent way

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Shoot assistance:

assist teams in briefing, managing, coordinating with creatives (photographers, videographers) to produce meaningful content

THINGS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Prior experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL
