Job Description
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager Trade Distribution will be responsible for expanding and managing the brands distribution network across General Trade, Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs), and regional distributors. The role will drive sales growth, channel expansion, stock movement, and partner performance while ensuring brand visibility and commercial compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Development & Expansion
- Identify and appoint distributors and trade partners in aligned territories.
- Drive expansion in new markets as per annual business plan.
- Evaluate distributor capability (financial strength, reach, infrastructure).
2. Sales & Target Achievement
- Drive primary and secondary sales targets for the trade channel.
- Monitor stock flow from warehouse to distributor to retail outlets.
- Ensure achievement of volume, revenue, and collection targets.
3. Distributor Management
- Set monthly targets and review performance regularly.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and overstocking.
- Ensure timely collections and credit control compliance.
4. Trade Marketing & Visibility
- Ensure in-store branding, VM compliance, and visibility standards in MBOs.
- Coordinate trade schemes, discounts, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activity and market pricing benchmarks.
5. Reporting & Analytics
- Track secondary sales, sell-through, and territory-wise performance.
- Provide market intelligence and expansion recommendations.
- Maintain distributor-wise MIS and forecasting accuracy.
