Job Description

The Role

We need a creative leader who is, first and foremost, a great manager. Someone who can guide art, video, and copy teams across multiple clients without dropping balls. You will own creative output AND team productivity. If you think team leadership and management is beneath creative work, this is not the role for you.

What You Will Actually Do

Run the creative floor: assign briefs, set timelines, review output, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks across 12-15 active client accounts.

Guide art directors, video editors, and copywriters with clear, actionable feedback that makes work better, not just different.

Own team productivity: track deliverables, flag bottlenecks early, and hold people accountable without micromanaging.

Lead creative pitch decks for AOP and new business creative presentations. You will be in the room, presenting and defending creative ideas.

Direct static, video, and reel content from concept through final output, ensuring quality and speed go hand in hand.

Translate client briefs into sharp creative directions that teams can execute without three rounds of re-explanation.

Step in and solve problems on the spot. When timelines compress or clients pivot, you adapt and lead the team through it.


Who You Are

810 years in a digital agency (not freelance, not in-house). You know the chaos of multi-client, multi-deliverable environments.

Started in copy or content, and have since grown into directing art and video as well. You think across formats, not within one.

A people person who earns respect from creative teams, not just demands it. You give feedback people actually use.

An on-your-feet thinker. Client throws a curveball in a call? You respond with solutions, not silence.

Organised and process-minded. You use trackers, follow up on deadlines, and your team always knows what is expected of them.

Comfortable presenting to clients and senior leadership. You can sell an idea, not just make one.


Non-Negotiables

English Honours or Mass Communication background.

Proven experience managing a creative team of 10+ people (not just working alongside them).

Portfolio that shows range: static social, short-form video/reels, campaign work, ad formats and pitch decks.

Comfort with writing, visualizing, and directing output across all digital formats.
