We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager in our Ocean Procurement - EMR (Equipment Maintenance and Repair) & Depot category team within Maersk Procurement which is a Service Function within the Maersk Group supporting business globally. Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible and accountable for driving Depot & EMR projects globally Maersk group in close cooperation with internal stakeholders. These projects spend be from few hundred thousand to multi-million dollars in annual spend.

As an Assistant Category Manager you will get exposed to a variety of tasks, e.g.:

• Support to Category head or regional procurement teams in executing procurement projects.

• Mapping and analyzing data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in complex markets

• Supporting/leading standardised ways of working with help of technology

• Developing and supporting regional procurement teams with repair and depot negotiations

• Developing innovative models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total cost and total value of ownership

• Planning and executing Category strategy for short, medium & long term

Finally, you will have significant responsibility from the start and be expected to execute and deliver on time and in line with very ambitious targets including savings.

• Holds a bachelor’s degree at minimum, MBA / master’s degree will be an added advantage

• Work experience of 4+ years from a reputed organization focusing on procurement, consulting, operations and/or project management

• Top performer who excels in executing under pressure and over-delivering

• Understands stakeholder management excellence and can build rapport even in challenging situations

• Demonstrates strong analytical skills and preferably with good experience in excel modelling

• Potential to quickly excel in our key differentiating skills: Sourcing Strategy, Negotiations, Cost Modelling and Project Management

• International mind-set, willingness to travel extensively and excitement to engage with foreign stakeholders

• Ambitious, Self-driven with startup spirit and independent decision-making ability
