Design Verticals: Industrial Design / Interior Design / Fashion Design / Communication Design

Designation: Associate Faculty / Assistant Faculty

Location: DOT School of Design, Ambattur, Chennai

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and studio sessions in your area of design specialization.
• Facilitate project-based and experiential learning aligned with industry practices.
• Guide students through design projects, portfolios, internships, and real-world applications.
• Mentor students academically and professionally, supporting skill development and career readiness.

2. Curriculum & Studio Development

• Contribute to curriculum planning, studio structures, and module development.
• Integrate contemporary tools, materials, technologies, and workflows into teaching.
• Support interdisciplinary learning and collaborative studio culture.

3. Assessment & Student Growth

• Evaluate student work through reviews, juries, and assessments.
• Provide structured, constructive feedback to foster design thinking and execution skills.
• Participate in academic reviews, portfolio evaluations, and exhibitions.

4. Industry Engagement

• Support industry collaborations, live projects, workshops, and guest sessions.
• Bridge classroom learning with real-world design practices and professional expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Communication Design, or a related field.

Experience Requirement: Minimum 1 year of teaching experience OR Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
