Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Applied Psychology (e.g., Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology foundations, Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology, Research Methods).
- Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with outcome-based education (OBE) .
- Integrate experiential learning, case studies, internships, and fieldwork into coursework.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely academic feedback.
Research & Scholarship
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in areas of Applied Psychology.
- Publish research in UGC CARElisted / Scopus / Web of Science journals.
- Present research at national and international conferences.
- Apply for funded research projects, consultancy, or interdisciplinary grants.
- Guide undergraduate/postgraduate research projects and dissertations.
Student Mentoring & Support
- Mentor students for academic progression, research, internships, and careers.
- Support student well-being through academic advising and referrals where required.
- Encourage student participation in conferences, workshops, and community outreach.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Contribute to curriculum design, revision, and academic audits as per UGC/NEP 2020 guidelines.
- Develop interdisciplinary courses and value-added programs.
- Support accreditation processes (NAAC/NIRF/International accreditations).
Institutional & Professional Service
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
- Support admissions, examinations, and academic events.
- Engage in community outreach, psychological camps, or industry collaborations.
- Participate in faculty development programs and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
For Assistant Professor
- Masters degree in Applied Psychology / Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counseling Psychology with at least 55% marks (or as per UGC norms).
- NET/SET/PhD preferred (as per UGC regulations).
- Demonstrated teaching aptitude and research interest.
For Associate Professor
- PhD in Applied Psychology or relevant specialization .
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience in higher education.
- Evidence of quality research publications and academic contributions as per UGC norms.
- Experience in curriculum development, research supervision, and academic leadership.

- Familiarity with SPSS / R / qualitative research tools
