Assistant/Associate Manager Graphic Design

Role Overview : The Assistant/Associate Design Manager for the Nykaa Web Com team will oversee the design aspects of the Nykaa Fashion e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and user-friendly shopping experience. This role involves managing a team of designers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of visual and interaction design.

Role Description :

1. Team Leadership and Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of UI/UX designers, graphic designers, and other design professionals.

- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment.

- Conduct regular team meetings, reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

2. Design Strategy and Execution:

- Develop and implement design strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.

- Ensure the design team produces high-quality, on-brand design solutions.

- Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with product managers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design meets user needs and business goals.

- Present design concepts and solutions to senior management and other stakeholders.

- Ensure clear communication and documentation of design decisions and guidelines.

4. User Experience and Interface Design:

- Ensure the user experience is intuitive, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing across all digital touchpoints.

- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine and improve designs.

- Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices.

5. Project Management:

- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.

- Allocate resources effectively and monitor the progress of design projects.

- Resolve any issues that may arise during the design process.

6. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure all design output is consistent with Nykaas brand guidelines and quality standards.

- Conduct regular design reviews and audits.

- Maintain design documentation and assets for future reference and use.

Knowledge and Skill / Qualification Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in web and mobile design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools like InVision or Marvel.
• Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in the Beauty/fashion e-commerce industry.
