Job Summary

As a Vice President of Asset Owner Operation Service Delivery within our Operations team, you will be at the helm of a team dedicated to providing top-notch services to our institutional clients who are asset owners. Your role will involve collaborating with technology, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to our clients, with a particular focus on oversight and reporting. You will spearhead issue resolution, guarantee the proper execution of deliverables, communicate status updates, and provide Key Performance Indicators to senior management to ensure client issues are escalated and prioritized appropriately. You will be responsible for establishing and nurturing a network of partners throughout the Corporate and Investment Bank to foster client-centricity and enhance overall service quality. Your success in this role will be gauged by your strong sense of ownership, your understanding of retirement accounts such as Pension, 401K, VEBA, and your proficiency in accounting deliverables for Fund Accounting, Plan Level, and Regulatory Reporting.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team as the point of contact for client queries and issues. 
  • Manage the global distributed operating model. 
  • Work with technology, operations, and stakeholders to determine process improvements and strategic direction. 
  • Handle daily BAU query management and resolution. 
  • Manage issue escalation and remediation. Coordinate client-requested changes to the operating model and reporting. 
  • Oversee client behavior changes associated with all JP Morgan’s services and initiatives/programs. 
  • Lead and coordinate client service reviews. Coordinate client restructuring activities and new client onboarding. 
  • Deliver all client ad hoc reporting successfully. Support audit and regulatory reporting queries. 
  • Act as a consultant to clients on accounting matters and best practices.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Over 10 years of experience in Operations.
  • Strong technical skills, including accounting principles and theories.
  • Knowledge of GAAP Accounting and Fund Accounting for Institutional clients.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global environment and matrix management organization.
  • Exceptional leadership and staff development skills with team management experience.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills for building collaborative relationships.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Proficient in analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
  • Experience in working across multiple business areas/functions to achieve results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in executive presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
