As an Associate in our Anti-money Laundering and KYC team, you will be responsible for executing the onboarding and recertification of clients in adherence to the firm's KYC Policy. You will conduct public domain research and risk analysis based on the product, booking location, and other risk components. You will also review sanctions, adverse media screening, and escalate any issues following the firm's procedures. Your role will involve working with internal stakeholders to provide the requirements on the KYC file and supporting dashboard management, change requests, and quality management.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough public domain research to complete KYC during onboarding and refresh processes, ensuring the provision of alternate documentation within policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop comprehensive regulatory knowledge across various regions, including the US, UK, Luxembourg, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Japan.
- Review KYC screenings, including negative media, PEP, and sanctions, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assess and manage risk.
- Partner with teams such as the front office, Compliance, and senior management to review risks and approve KYC profiles within the established SLA.
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance productivity and drive efficiencies.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- At least 7 years' experience with financial product analysis, KYC, AML, Compliance
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Exhibit high willingness to collaborate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including in English)
- Ability to prioritize a variety of responsibilities and ad-hoc requests in a moderate to fast-paced environment; ability to learn and execute new tasks quickly and in real-time
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as a Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Advantage for candidate with tech skills such as Alteryx, Python and Tableau.
