Job Description

Join our dynamic Markets Asset Servicing team as a Senior Associate and take charge of processing redemptions and Income claims across our Fixed Income and Prime line of business. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless and precise reconciliation of cash, stocks, wash, and other financial elements, driving operational excellence. Collaborate with a network of internal stakeholders, including trading desks, sales, finance, and operations teams, as well as forge strong partnerships with external entities such as clients, custodians, agents, depositories, and third-party service providers.

As an Asset Analyst within the Markets Asset Servicing Operations Income team, you will provide centralized asset servicing support across products. You will be required to manage redemptions and income settlement across the FI and Prime line of business, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of cash, stocks, wash, and other financial elements. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as trading desks, sales, finance, and other operations teams, as well as external partners like clients, custodians, agents, depo, and 3rd party service providers. Your role will also involve executing goals and objectives set up to deliver core business deliverables.
 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  1. Ensure all pre-event reconciliation and pay date event processing related on Income events such as dividend, coupons and redemptions are completed in a timely manner.
  2. Ensure all cash breaks, wash breaks, suspense breaks and control account breaks are reconciled timely, match-off correctly and reduce or Nil accumulation of over 30 days aged items. Manage any potential system feed issues, late/incorrect investigation, follow-through till resolution. 
  3. Ensure appropriate redemption calculations and settle with counterparty. 
  4. Understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies within the processes 
  5. Ensure all daily controls and processing are completed and signed off, including client service inquiry resolution, cash, and stock break, reconciling the security
  6. Act as a subject matter expert on procedural matters and be the funnel for communication with the global teams
  7. Communicate efficiently and effectively with Senior Management & escalate issues in a timely manner.
  8. Identify ways to improve processes/procedures to enhance quality and/or productivity
  9. Exercise sound judgment; act with integrity; protect our company, clients, and customers.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 3 years of relevant experience, Asset Servicing background covering either Income and redemptions
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills; solutions oriented 
  • Problem solving skills – the candidate must demonstrate exceptional judgment and the ability to independently identify and escalate key issues, obtain appropriate information form further analysis, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Teamwork skills – the candidate must be flexible in their work style and be able to work appropriately with stakeholders and colleagues at all level
