Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Architect with 10 to 14 years of experience in RPG/400 and RPGLE AS/400 Utilities AS400 Modernization delivery AS400 CL AS/400 RPG and AS/400 CL. The ideal candidate will have domain expertise in Yard Management-Warehousing and Warehouse Management Concepts. This hybrid role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of AS/400 applications using RPG/400 and RPGLE to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
 - Oversee the modernization of legacy AS/400 systems to enhance performance and maintainability.
 - Provide technical expertise in AS/400 Utilities and AS400 CL to support various business functions.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
 - Implement best practices for AS/400 development and ensure adherence to coding standards.
 - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
 - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AS/400 applications.
 - Develop and maintain documentation for all AS/400 systems and processes.
 - Ensure seamless integration of AS/400 applications with other enterprise systems.
 - Provide training and support to junior developers and other team members.
 - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in AS/400 and related domains.
 - Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver solutions that drive efficiency.
 - Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
 
Qualifications
- Must have extensive experience in RPG/400 and RPGLE development.
 - Must have strong knowledge of AS/400 Utilities and AS400 CL.
 - Must have experience in AS400 Modernization delivery.
 - Must have domain expertise in Yard Management-Warehousing and Warehouse Management Concepts.
 - Nice to have experience in other programming languages and tools used in AS/400 environments.
