Key Responsibilities
Application Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for AS/400 (IBM i) applications in a production environment.
- Ensure system availability and stable application performance.
- Investigate and resolve application incidents, service requests, and defects.
Incident & Problem Management
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve issues.
- Provide regular status updates, incident reports, and documentation.
User Support
- Support end users with application-related issues and queries.
- Ensure incidents are resolved within defined SLAs.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders during issue resolution.
Operations Support
- Participate in on-call and shift-based support when required.
- Follow ITIL-based processes and ticket management using tools like ServiceNow.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with IBM i / AS/400 environment
- Knowledge of RPG / RPGLE programming
- Experience with CL (Control Language)
- Strong knowledge of DB2 for i and SQL
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
