Key Responsibilities

Application Support

  • Provide L2/L3 support for AS/400 (IBM i) applications in a production environment.
  • Ensure system availability and stable application performance.
  • Investigate and resolve application incidents, service requests, and defects.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
  • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve issues.
  • Provide regular status updates, incident reports, and documentation.

User Support

  • Support end users with application-related issues and queries.
  • Ensure incidents are resolved within defined SLAs.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders during issue resolution.

Operations Support

  • Participate in on-call and shift-based support when required.
  • Follow ITIL-based processes and ticket management using tools like ServiceNow.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with IBM i / AS/400 environment
  • Knowledge of RPG / RPGLE programming
  • Experience with CL (Control Language)
  • Strong knowledge of DB2 for i and SQL
  • Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
