Artificial Intelligence + Raspberry Pi Intern

We are hiring an intern to help build a Raspberry Pibased device that monitors sound volume and frequency in retail spaces. This role sits at the intersection of: Hardware Audio Signal Processing Retail AI Analytics

What Youll Be Building

A compact in-store device that:

Measures sound pressure level (dBA) continuously

Captures frequency distribution over time

Generates time-stamped acoustic datasets

Pushes data via WiFi to a cloud dashboard

Enables correlation between sound patterns and store revenue

This is not a college project. This will be deployed in live retail environments.

What Youll Work On

Raspberry Pi setup & optimization

Microphone module selection + calibration

Real-time SPL measurement

FFT / frequency spectrum analysis

Data logging + compression

WiFi/cloud data transmission

Basic enclosure prototyping

Field deployment testing in stores

Skills That Matter

You dont need to be perfect but you should be strong in some of:

Python

Raspberry Pi / embedded systems

Audio signal processing

FFT / spectrogram concepts

Basic electronics

Comfort working hands-on in physical environments

Bonus: Integrate data into AI systems to draw inferences
