Role Description

MAVIP is building AI-native and IT-native tools that power go-to-market intelligence, research, identity verification, automation, and internal platforms.

We are looking for a hands-on AI engineer who can design, build, and ship real AI-powered tools, not just experiments or academic models.

This role sits at the intersection of AI, backend engineering, and product thinking.

Key Responsibilities

AI Tool & Feature Development

• Build AI-powered features using LLMs and ML models
• Develop AI workflows such as:
• Intelligent data extraction & enrichment
• Research summarization and insight generation
• Scoring, classification, and recommendation systems
• Translate business use-cases into production-ready AI features

Backend & Platform Integration

• Integrate AI models into backend systems via APIs and services
• Design and implement scalable APIs for AI features
• Work with structured and unstructured data pipelines
• Ensure reliability, performance, and security of AI components

Model Usage & Optimization

• Fine-tune prompts, pipelines, and model configurations
• Choose appropriate models (open-source vs hosted APIs)
• Monitor model performance, accuracy, latency, and cost

Engineering Execution

• Write clean, production-grade code
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions
• Collaborate closely with product, research, and business teams
• Maintain documentation for AI workflows and system logic

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 36 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or AI-focused backend development
• Strong proficiency in Python (mandatory)
• Experience working with:
• LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models, etc.)
• REST APIs and backend services
• Understanding of:
• Prompt engineering
• Model orchestration and chaining
• Data preprocessing and feature extraction
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

Good to Have

• Experience with:
• Vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Basic ML model training or fine-tuning
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, and basic DevOps practices

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a research-only or academic AI role
• Not a people-management position
• Not limited to model experimentation or notebooks
• This is a build-and-ship role.
