Senior Technical AI Engineer

We are seeking a Technical AI Engineer/ Specialist with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions. This role will provide deep technical expertise to support an AI Transformation initiative, working alongside the IDTA lead to ensure the successful delivery of AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will assess AI opportunities, evaluate feasibility, and deliver scalable solutions that align with business objectives. Exposure to project management and the ability to work in a structured delivery model will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Opportunity Assessment & Feasibility Analysis

a. Understand Trading & Supply Finance business pain points and identify potential AI use cases across commodities (Gas, Power, Crude, Products, etc.).

b. Conduct feasibility studies considering technical complexity, cost, and ROI.

c. Provide technical input to prioritize AI initiatives aligned with business goals.

2. AI & Machine Learning Development

a. Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models for predictive analytics, NLP, Gen AI, RAG, and Agentic AI use cases.

b. Fine-tune and optimize models for accuracy, scalability, and performance in production environments.

3. Generative AI & LLM Integration

a. Deploy and manage Large Language Models (LLMs) for enterprise use cases.

b. Implement Generative AI solutions for automation, decision support, trend analysis, pattern recognition, and knowledge extraction.

4. Data Engineering & Analysis

a. Collect, preprocess, and analyse large datasets to support AI applications.

b. Ensure data integrity, compliance with security standards, and adherence to governance frameworks.

5. Technical Delivery & Project Support

a. Collaborate with IDTA lead to plan and manage technical aspects of AI projects from concept to deployment.

b. Track technical deliverables, timelines, and dependencies while ensuring alignment with functional requirements.

6. Collaboration & Innovation

a. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into enterprise systems and workflows.

b. Stay updated on emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices; recommend innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and AI/ ML frameworks.
• Experience with LLMs (Azure Open AI, Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, Meta LLaMA, OpenAI GPT family and other LLMs) and Generative AI deployment.
• Familiarity with enterprise orchestration tools for LLMs such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and Prompt Flow.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and model evaluation KPIs for enterprise use cases.
• Knowledge of cloud-based AI platforms (Azure and Azure ML) and MLOps practices for scalable deployment
• Hands-on Experience:
• Minimum 35 years in AI/ML POCs, pilots, development, and production deployment.
• Proven track record in implementing AI-powered automation and analytics solutions.
• Added Advantage:
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and CI/CD for AI models.
• Project management certifications (PMP, Agile) or experience leading technical workstreams.
