Job Description
Role Summary
Specialist in designing, documenting, analyzing, and optimizing business processes using the ARIS (Architecture of Integrated Information Systems) platform. Bridges business and IT by creating standardized process models that support transformation, compliance, and system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Modeling & Documentation
- Capture and document endtoend business processes using ARIS (BPMN, EPC, VACD, org charts, data models, etc.).
- Develop and maintain the ARIS repository, including processes, interfaces, roles, and systems.
- Ensure consistent use of modeling conventions, method filters, and naming standards.
- Analysis & Optimization
- Perform asis process analysis and design tobe processes.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks; propose improvement measures.
- Support process performance measurement (KPIs, process indicators) and continuous improvement.
- Governance & Standards
- Apply and enforce modeling guidelines and process governance rules.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, compliance, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, SOX, GxP where relevant).
- Support process ownership helps process owners manage their process landscapes in ARIS.
Core Skills & Competencies
- ARIS Tool Expertise
- Handson experience with ARIS Architect/Designer; ideally ARIS Connect/Publisher.
- Ability to use ARIS for:
- EPC, BPMN 2.0, VACD, value chain, org structures, IT system landscapes.
- Model hierarchies, process landscapes, and repository management.
- Versioning, approvals, and release workflows.
- Process Management
- Sound understanding of BPM fundamentals and methodologies.
- Experience with process discovery, mapping, and optimization.
- Knowledge of process metrics and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, etc. is a plus).
- Analysis & Communication
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex business domains.
- Ability to translate informal business descriptions into formal process models.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to facilitate workshops.
- Governance & Compliance
- Experience working in structured environments with formal process governance.
- Understanding of audit, risk, and compliance needs as they relate to processes.
