Job Description
Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager Retail will be responsible for driving sales performance across multiple exclusive brand outlets / retail stores of The Sleep Company in Hyderabad. The role involves managing Store Managers, ensuring target achievement, improving store productivity, driving customer experience, and executing retail expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Store Performance
- Drive monthly & quarterly sales targets across assigned retail stores
- Monitor store-wise revenue, conversion %, ASP, footfall, and productivity metrics
- Ensure achievement of store KPIs (Sales, UPT, ATV, Conversion Ratio)
- Plan and execute local store-level promotions to boost walk-ins and sales
2. Team Management
- Lead, train, and mentor Store Managers and Sales Executives
- Conduct regular store visits for performance reviews and coaching
- Ensure proper staffing, roster planning, and discipline across stores
- Drive incentive plans and motivate teams to exceed targets
3. Customer Experience & Visual Merchandising
- Ensure premium in-store customer experience aligned with brand standards
- Maintain VM guidelines, store hygiene, product display, and branding consistency
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve escalations promptly
4. Inventory & Operations
- Ensure optimal stock levels across stores
- Minimize stock-outs and overstock situations
- Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain for replenishment
- Monitor shrinkage and ensure SOP compliance
5. Retail Expansion & Market Insights
- Support new store launches in Hyderabad region
- Identify high-potential micro-markets for expansion
- Provide competitor insights and market intelligence
