Job Description
The Area Sales Executive (ASE) will accelerate our sales efforts in the assigned territory. The ASE will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing channel partners, executing brand-building activities and supporting digital and promotional initiatives in the assigned territory. This role is critical in driving business growth and strengthening our presence in the market.
1. Achieving Sales Turnover
Meet or exceed monthly and yearly segment-wise sales targets.
Drive growth in the assigned territory by building on previous sales performance.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to optimize sales strategy.
2. Channel Partner Management
Maintain effective communication and coordination with existing channel partners.
Ensure partners comply with digital process requirements.
Identify and onboard new channel partners to strengthen market coverage.
3. Brand Building Activities
Plan and execute brand-building events such as:
Mechanic meetings
Fleet owner meets
Dealer and sub-dealer engagements
Visual merchandising initiatives
Enhance brand visibility and ensure consistent brand representation in the market.
4. Digital Initiative Compliance
Support and implement all digital initiatives introduced by the company.
Enable channel partners to adopt digital tools and platforms for business enhancement.
Track and report digital engagement metrics within the territory.
5. Scheme Implementation
Effectively communicate ongoing incentive schemes to Dealers, Sub-Dealers, and Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs).
Ensure timely and accurate implementation of schemes to drive participation and boost sales performance.
Monitor scheme effectiveness and provide feedback for improvements.
1. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual primary and secondary sales targets for assigned territory
2. Drive volume growth across product categories eg. automotive, inverter, and industrial batteries.
3. Develop and manage the dealer and distributor network to ensure market coverage and product availability
4. Identify potential channel partners and recommend appointments where required to drive primary & secondary
5. Conduct regular market visits to track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
6. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, market feedback, and competitor activity updates
Soft Skills :
1. Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset.
2. Familiarity with digital tools and CRM systems is an added advantage.
3. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA mandatory.
Age : not beyond 30 years
3+ years of experience in sales and channel management, preferably in [FMCG/Automotive components/Lubricants/Consumer Durables].
