Role: Area Sales Executive (ASE)

Location/HQ: Bengaluru

Channel: General Trade (GT)

Territory: Bengaluru (with travel across Karnataka as required)


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen GT distribution infrastructure across Bengaluru
  • Appoint and manage distributors / wholesalers / key retailers for long-term business association
  • Drive primary and secondary sales , ensuring achievement of monthly/quarterly targets
  • Create and execute GT sales strategy and beat plans aligned with business goals
  • Expand footprint by appointing new GT outlets and improving product availability
  • Ensure effective in-store execution : visibility, merchandising, planograms, and display quality
  • Align and execute trade marketing and trade promotions with the overall sales strategy
  • Handle distributor trade issues: complaints, claims, settlements, and operational challenges
  • Monitor market trends and competition, share insights for pricing, schemes, and product focus
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver incremental business and category growth


What were looking for

  • Strong knowledge of Primary + Secondary sales mechanics with 1+ year of experience
  • Experience in GT distribution handling (distributors, wholesalers, retailers)
  • Experience in key retailer engagement (high-volume outlets)
  • Team handling experience (DSR management)
  • Strong understanding of Bengaluru geography (mandatory)
  • FMCG/CPG experience preferred (pet care is a plus)
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Kannada proficiency is required
  • Willingness to travel across Karnataka
